I am passionate for expressive, yet classical cooking with focus on the European dining experience through innovative ingredient combinations. my ideal dish is one where you can taste every single ingredient in its purity.

My culinary journey started at a very young age with my grandfather Joseph – a traditional baker in Old Antwerp, Belgium. It was in his kitchen that I would spend most of my time. When I was 12 years old I went to culinary boarding school. After completing internships at Michelin star restaurants in Belgium, the Netherlands and France I took my traveling bag around the world to have culinary experiences in Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Singapore and South America.

Eight years ago I moved to New York to work as the Executive Chef to the European Ambassador to the United Nations and since then I am the Executive Chef for all formalin-house and external events on behalf of the Ambassador’s personal and business engagements. In 2015 I opened JH Catering hoping to bring my culinary passion to your next event.


My mission is to offer a combination of familiarity paired with culinary genius surrounded by a magical atmosphere to ensure an unforgettable evening. My clients adhere to a demanding level of expectations, which are only met through the execution of innovative, yet simple flavors, professional and smart service, light indulgence, culinary brilliance and well conceived preparations.

From a small dinner party to a 200 people bash, my personal and professional touch to every element of the kitchen and service has been proven through my existing concept, which is successfully delivering the food, brand and vision to an extremely satisfied and repeat book of business.
